Default ihub Setup procedure that works

C/P

After i got my ihub working one time, I moved it to another room but could not get it working again. Even after moved back to the original room. After a few days of frustration i tried this. Follow it exactly, especially step 9 and boom, it is working again. Here are the steps you should follow.

1 VERIFY INTERNET ON YOUR LAN CABLE ie. LAPTOP WITH LAN PORT.OK YOU GOT INTERNET!

2 FACTORY RESET BOX

3 LOAD ihub VERSION 1 THIS IS THE SOFTWARE!,ALL THE OTHER BINS R UPDATES.

4 CONNECT IHUB

5 LOAD FILE FOR YOUR BOX,LET IT REBOOT,DO NOT PLUG IN INTERNET YET

6 TURN BOX ON IP CONFIG SELECT STATIC ENTER ALL ZEROS ENABLE DNS, SITE IS NOT SVFTAIKS.COM!

7 CHANGE DNS TO WWW.SVFTAIKS.COM

8 PORT 1920,NOW CHANGE TO DHCS ENTER SERIAL # HIT APPLY.

9 TURN BOX OFF AND ON WITH REMOTE PLUG IN LAN CABLE GO TO IP CONFIG AFTER ADAPTER DETECTED HIT APPLY. CONNECT TO NETWORK IN ADVANCED SETTINGS

10 DOWNLOAD NETWORK, AFTER NETWORK IMAGE UPDATE LOAD LATEST BIN FILE.

Question Re: ihub Setup procedure that works

Thx very much for the info. I'm also "stuck" with my SV 8000 HD w/ihub. Can u pls tell me where to get the ihub Version 1 file you're referring to; none of the files I see in SV say Vers 1. Also, are you saying that I load the Ihub file before loading the factory firmware/bin file into the SV STB receiver and also before attaching the ihub? And which is the factory file that I load into the SV STB? Pls advise...and thx so much for your help...
Regards,
twobears

I would think it will work for SV 360p as well, if you experience problems after network download and loading latest file you can fix it by doing this.

Go back into IP Config and set it up again.Change DHCP to Static and change local port to 1920.Then change back to DHCP and go down to server port and change it to port 1920 then click APPLY.

Question IHub Procedure That Works

Thx for the info on which factory file is Version 1 for Ihub, I will use it; but I'm still "stuck"(Scrambled Channels) with my SV 8000 HD w/IHub. May I ask again, if you're saying that I load this Vers.1 Ihub factory bin file into the SV STB Receiver first, BEFORE loading the SV STB Receiver factory bin file into SV STB and also BEFORE attaching the IHub? And which is the factory file that I load into the SV STB; is it the earliest dated factory bin file? Pls advise...and thx so much for your help...I appreciate it very much!

After doing factory reset load this file first >>> http://www.ftaprofessionals.tv/sonic...17-2009-a.html

Once that is done connect ihub and follow the steps from there.
