Default blackrock

Okay. So, I hope I'm not sounding completely naive here, but the "new fix" isn't a bin file, it's an exe and when I try to load it my options aren't like they usually are. What is it that I want to do? Create a new folder, move it, or what?

The Blackrock program is not a fix for your receiver is kinda a IP hider.Set it up like setting up the Wiznet Tool. One difference using the BR program is that you need your pc on at all times to run BR.Wiznet Tool you do not have to.

Once I've downloaded it, I assume I need to run it. Once opened, what do I need to do?

The server is down so BR will not work.

1. open Blackrock.exe
2. on the right put checkmark in No Proxy
3. on the right put checkmark in Auto Start
4. on the right press SAVE Settings
5. on the right press Start Proxy
6. at the bottom take note of the ip address cause you will add that to the sonicview
7. on the sonicview press Menu, go in IpConfig menu and change Use DNS to NO
8. on the next line it will now say Server IP ... put the ip that was at the bottom
of the Blackrock program
9. go down to Apply
10. Power off the receiver
11. Reach behind the receiver and power it OFF and back ON and thats it.

Follow step by step for program to work right.

Default RE New Black Rock

THANK YOU
I was just about to post same question re new Black Rock file. Is this file a must update as i am not running multiple I Hubs at this time. Having hell of a time learning about new files and procedure to keep this one reciever up and running.
Has sever been down since yesterday as i havn't had any tv since then or is it do to this new Black Rock file?

The server must have went down late last night.A easy way to check to see if the server is down is to go into IPCONFIG and change Use DNS to NO and if the server IP has this 0.0.0.0 then then server is down. Then change back to yes and just to be safe click apply.Probably doesn't matter.

The Blackrock program in away has nothing to do with the Ihub.It is supposed to be a more secure way to be connected to the server.

If you turn off pc while BR is running your receiver will not work until you go back into IPCONFIG and change the settings back.
