Question Anything a go yet for Sonic

Good morning, just a quick question, any news for us about getting the recievers up and running again. I have a sonic 8000hd, no IHUB (don't really know what this is) and I don't have highspeed internet (only downfall about living in the country). Thanks for any info.

Default You can hook up with dial up :)

Goodmorning to you ydw007, there are no standalone fixes out and the only thing to do at this time is get you a ihub for your sonicview 8000hd if you want to watch tv at this time, you can hook up with dial up. I will post some info below on doing that, hope this helps and if you have anymore questions let us know

Sv And Dialup Working

1. click "Start", "Connect to", "Show all connections", In the box that opens, Right click on your dial up account and select properties.
2. Click on the advanced tab at the top of the box that opens.
3. You should see "Internet connection sharing" and in that box will be "Allow other network users to connect through the computers internet connection". Select that box. I also turn off my firewall (located under the advanced tab also).
4. The bottom section of that box should have a connection labeled "Local Area Connection". Right click on it and select properties.
5. In the box that opens up, use the scroll bar and find the "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
6. Highlight it and click the "Properties" button.
7. In the box that opens select "use the following ip address".
IP address should be 192.168.0.101
Subnet mask should be 255.255.255.0
All other fields should be blank. Then select ok. (you are done with the pc)

On the "ip config" menu of your sonicview. Just mirror the following entries.
Setting type= static
Local ip =192.168.0.103
Local port=1920
Subnet=255.255.255.0
Gateway=192.168.0.101
Use DNS=Yes
Domain Name=www.svftaiks.com
DNS IP=192.168.0.101
Server Port=1920
Serial number=(your serial number sticker on your ihub)
Last select apply.

It's very buggy right now and freeze prone but this should get you going.
Also, you must use a Cat5 CROSSOVER cable between your ihub and computer. Just plug it straight into the back of the computer in the lan port (only place it will fit) and the other end goes in your ihub.

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.So love the people who treat you right.Love the ones who do not,just because you can.Believe everything happens for a reason.If you get a second chance,grab it with both hands.If it changes your life,let it.Kiss slowly.Forgive quickly.God never said life would be easy.He just promised it would be worth it.

You do not have to be crazy to be my friend, but it sure helps.................
