Hey guys and gals
I gave in and bought Bell service. Still have old 4000 waiting to go. Refuse to give up on stand alone. Have dial up on computer. IKS scares me, had enough trouble with 4000. Hard to teach an old dog new tricks. Enjoy reading and trying to learn the hobby. Will wait now and see what happens.

Hello Jetalito, nothing wrong with the direction that you took, as I have always said, it is wise to do that anyway along with this hobby as well, that way during downtime you still have something to watch. Glad to have you as a member and we can only hope that a standalone fix will come out for your receiver and you will be able to get back to testing

Always a good idea to have plan B, subscription to satellite or cable provider isn't nearly as good as fta but at least is reliable. Glad to see you are still active member on our forum even though your receiver has been down for some time now.
