Question Problem...please help.

Hi again I am asking for help except this time is in my friend's name. When he bought an Ihub as soon as it came out everything was working just fine. Then the server started getting to be overloaded and we had some freezing here and there. Then those Ihub duplicates started coming out and I think that is when my friend started having problems. We even checked if the Ihub serial number was typed in correctly. It stopped working it could not even be detected but the lights on are in fact lit up. We tried everything from installing new files through hard reboots and factory resets to installing cleaning files on the receiver...nothing helped. We simply do not know what to do next. Should we call Sonicview so they could send a new HUB ? Please help...

Did he upgrade his ihub to v1.9 using Wiznet and loaded new file?

The way the sv server is doing right now it is hard to tell whats working. If you know for sure that everything is loaded properly.Let the receiver set for a while on different channels and see if they pop in.

If the lights are on solid green and flashing amber it means that ihub is talking to the router i would write down settings for your ihub and make sure your friends settings are the same. Or he can try unplugging everything, router, ihub, receiver off for a bit and turn it back on and see if it helped.

I installed the new file from the 19th from a copied folder. My tv showed up for few seconds and was gone. Why is that ?

If you could actually provide proper settings for me I would really appreciate it.
By the way coming back to my Ihub and my new file update. Should I change any settings or just leave it the way it is ?

emeres what do you mean it was gone, menu/guide did not work either, or that your picture went off? You can try to hard boot it from the back and make sure all your settings are right in installation, such as lnb settings, port settings and so on.

Now it works but freezes for a long time. Anyway what about these settings ?

Here's the info of the new server to check status up or down

The new domain name is

d.svftaiks.net

The new server ip address is

95.211.30.39

The new server port number is

13941

You can use ping to check the server status.

Those were the settings before the new file came out, new file fixes the port issue. Freezing is on SV's server end not on users, so just leave it as it is nothing we can do about freezing.
