Default channel scan

k, now that ive finally "got tv" i have about half the channels (150 versus 600) ive previously had. If I do a new scan on the 8000HD to pick up optimal amt of channels will this reset any settings or change gonfiguration or ihub connection? thanx

No it will not unless you load a system cleaner file or factory file. You will need to setup dish setting again. So write down any dish settings before default so you can re-enter them again.
