How to convert a new link to an ihub
Unless the New Link is with Version 1.1 this method will not work.
The Sonicview Receiver being used should be in the following Software versions or older.
SV8000HD – Version 514
SV360 Elite – Version 417
SV360 Premier – Version 420
Connect the New Link Hub to your receiver and connect an RG45 cable from the Hub to your computer.
On your computer click on Start>Run>Type CMD and Enter
In the Dos page Type ipconfig and Enter.
Copy your Server IP, Net Mask and Default Gateway.
Close that page and Open Wiznet. Make sure your receiver is in Standby mode (ie – Shut off receiver with the
remote)
Click on SEARCH and it will populate and you will see Version: 1.1
Now change Local IP to the same as what you copied from the computer except the last one has to be less than
200.
Subnet will be same as your Net mask and Gateway will be the same as your Gateway.
Both top and bottom Ports will be 1920.
Make sure PPPoE ID and Password are clear.
Click on Use DNS and make DNS Server IP the same as your Gateway
Domain Name:www. svftaiks.com
Make sure you have clicked on DHCP.
Now click on Option
In this page check every item is zero and Password (TCP Server) is disabled.
Click on SETTING and it will save.
Now go back to Network and see that all items are as you had entered. Click on SETTING and it will save.
Now click on UPLOAD and find iHub version 100 and double click on it and it will begin to Program.
Wait till it finishes, close and open Wiznet and click on SEARCH and you will see the version is 1.0.
Now click on UPLOAD and load version 1.9. When it finishes programming, Close and Open Wiznet and
Click on Search. The version will now show 1.9.
Upload it the same way with 2.2 and you are now having an iHUB Version 2.2.
Now you can load the latest version to your Receiver without the iHub connected.
When the upload is completed it will ask you if you want to reboot. Say NO. Shut off the receiver, connect the
iHUB with version 2.2 to the receiver and connect it to your Router and Start the receiver.
When finished, your iHUB will now have Version 2.3.
Thanks goes to VGiddy
