SV Lan Working - Troubleshooting Tips Here

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It seems people have had the most success on mfn when inputting the ipaddress. It seems that the current files are not completley loading the ip address to the server. You may have to manually enter it. Personally seen many people who could not get their unit working follow some of these steps and got it working perfect today.

If you bought a new SV lan it already comes with the V43 on it. If you are upgrading to SV Lan then you need to convert your ihub or newlink to a svlan.

Here is the instructions to converting your SV Lan. Load the newest receiver bin file. After you have loaded the bin file and updated your receiver you can now update your ihub or newlink to SV lan v43. Once they are both updated you need to load the "system clean file" then load the newest bin file again with the SV Lan connected to the receiver. The receiver will then automatically update the SV Lan to v48 (4.8)

Go to the sonicview the reciver section to get receiver files.
Go to the SV Lan section to get the SV Lan Files and instructions.

If you used the v99 premier bin to convert your SV Lan you need to load the system clean file also.

Go to Receiver file section - Utility
Download System Clean File of the receiver you are using.

After you have loaded the system clean file you will need to load the newest SVLan Receiver Bin File located in the sonicview receiver file section.

Scan your satellites, make sure your connected to the interent and your good to go.

If that doesn't work switch to private server and change server ip address to 62.212.76.70 and port to 8429. Save and then switch back to public.
How do I get to private settings? To do this you have to change the menu option "Change To Private (YES)" in there you will see Server IP Address section. If you can't see IP Address change "use DNS to NO". Save and click private settings to (no) to get back to public server.

Go to channel 200 or 301 channel up and down. Wait 30 seconds and you sould be good to go.

Remember that the SV Lan will only work If:

A. You purchased a New SV LAN
B. You purchased a SV Lan Upgrade Serial Number.

If you are using a old ihub serial number or newlink serial number that will not work.

Server is running great. Have fun and good luck.

Default

I cannot connect to the Public server

Factory default three times
Load the System clean files for Your Receiver
Hard reboot
Load the latest SvLan File
Hard reboot
Put your settings in and rescan
Turn off from back, attach the SvLan and Cat 5 Cable
Turn on

- Go into ip config,
Private server to Yes,
change Use DNS to No,
change Server IP to 62.212.76.70,
Change Server Port to 8429
Exit Save
Go back into ip config and put Private Server to No,
exit and save.

- Make sure is version 4.3 or 4.8 on your dongle using Wiznet. If not refer to upgrade instructions and redo.
- Make sure the serial number is entered correctly, see the How to section for how to
differentiate numbers from letters.
- Make sure Cat 5 cable is connected snugly into router and dongle and dongle is conected to STB
- If you are running more than one receiver, make sure you have one serial number for each receiver and it is entered one per receiver. A duplicate will cancel out.
- Go into the ip config
Change Setting type from DHCP to Static and Local IP to 0.0.0 then change Setting type to DHCP exit and save. It should say DHCP 0.0.0 Turn receiver off from back count to 10 and turn it back on leaving on channel 200. Local IP should populate itself.
- Turn off receiver, Disconnect SvLan and Cat 5 cable. Let it sit 10 minutes. Reconnect cable SvLan, SvLan to receiver, and turn on.

I am getting the Update Software error..

Try reloading the latest file.

If this does not work and is even better to......

Factory default three times
Load the System clean files for Your Receiver
Hard reboot
Load the latest SvLan File
Hard reboot
Put your settings in and rescan
Turn off from back, attach the SvLan and Cat 5 Cable
Turn on
