Trying to set up s/v lan and premier but i have a question when inputing serial number are the digits all in capital letters or it doesnt matter thanks

Yes they are all caps.Use your remote for numbers.Delete any characters first.If you have (l) this is a I.O is a letter.0 is a number

I have read that if the S/N starts with "UP" then it won't be able to get activated for a few days.
