Default private server

Need info for private server. I tried the linksys router but that didnt work. But I notice that on private server that everything is pretty much configured inc dns. I really need it to work through router. Please Advise

What is your setup and what were you doing with the linksys router that didn't work.Pretty much everything uses dns ip's.

I took firewall off and assigned IP outside of dhcp range but nothing. But if it has a public ip I have no problems. But when I plug directly in modem I have no phone. I need it to work through my router. It did for a while then the next morning nothing.

I assume you tried resetting your router and changed to DHCP and not static.
