I have a sonicview 8000+ a newlink, if i convert it to a svlan then purchase a serial #, can i use the akai japan public server or am i stuck with their private server only.Also if i buy a svlan and use Akai japans public server, are there any additional costs(MONTHLY FEES), other than buying the svlan dongle. Thanks

Yes you can convert your newlink and use it on the akai server and use a ps also.You don't need the s/n if going private only.The svlan is called wizhub now.So if you convert your newlink to svlan/wizhub you will need the wizhub warranty code (s/n).It will be emailed.If you buy a new hub get the wizhub.The wizhub warranty code can be good for 1 yr or 2 depending on if you get the extended warranty.A new wizhub comes with 2 yrs of tv.

and for a 2 Year warranty Code is 39.98 US$

and to Buy a New Wiz-hub with the code is 79.99
but I'm not sure if this is 1 year or 2...I would say it's 2 year...
