Default Conflict of info here???

I have another stv on P$S, but wish my premier 360 to work as well.
I read where any SVlan bin must be loaded with the SVlan hub in place.
I also read where conversion of the I-hub to a SVlan hub assumes you have the latest file loaded. All the files seem to be SVlan files.
My 360 was first programmed a long time ago when this iks was new.
My question is: Can I convert my I-hub as is , or after installing the ihub_V2_2 without upgrading my stb? And then upgrade my stb?

In short...no.
The hub is upgraded by the file loaded to the box.
Your 360P needs the Svlan-24 file loaded to the box in order for the hub to get the update.
Make since now ??

The 24 is a SVlan file. There's a post on how to upgrade and it states the SVlan file won't take unless your hub is an SVlan hub. This is the conflict.
My version now (in the box) is:2.45P. Yes it's old but I will upgrade as soon as my I-hub is SVlan. This is my understanding. Yet, the post on "How to convert I-hub to SVlan begins with, "If you have loaded the latest file for the I-hub or NewLink".
Should I have another drink, and try again to understand these differences?
Can I proceed with the conversion using the file I now have in my box? Or,, will the SVlan file take and hold in my box without the I-hub being SVlan?
This is my delemma???????

Converting is easy.If you was using your ihub on public when it went down.Power down in the back unplug ihub. Then power up and load svlan_24.When it asks to reboot choose NO.Then power down and reconnect ihub then boot up receiver. This will update adapter to 4.12.Do nothing til you see network adapter connect message. If all goes well you have a svlan/wizhub now and able to use your receiver on the akai server(with wizhub warranty code) or without on a P$S.Then you can load any future svlan/wizhub files easier and can also use the net for downloading new files.

Okay, I see how the file can then be loaded. That's good.
I now have a new IP from the old one and must change it as I don't get connected. I've gone from satellite to wireless.
Gotta find that info about changing as I don't remember it.
Will be in touch if more help is required.
thanks Ekim
