Default Ip change

Using the wiznet, I try to change the IP address's but everytime I hit search, it reverts back to what use to be there.
In the static mode, I can insert the new address's, but do I then hit the setting's button to save them, or what?
Appreciate this, guys, I need to get connected. I have the 1.4 version showing, but in dim letters I get Not connected in the upper rt box.

Did you try uploading the v2.2?

Did you know the 2.2 is a bin file? The only options I get in the menu are:
Channel update, New folder, Delete, and Rename.
I tried chnnel update, but no change occured with the version in the wiznet.
Also, I don't get the system config choice in the menu of the box yet.

Okay, I got it.
Now all I need is to get that configuration menu on my stb.
How do I do this as I believe I must change serial numbers.

WOW !!!
I rebooted my box and things changed. Now, when I go into the menu, under installation is added network settings and reset network settings. Still no config menu.
Also, my wiznet search shows a version of 4.12.
Yet, I never get the connected nor not connected notice on the screen. I think this hub needs me to put in the proper serial # but I can't get the config menu. (which means something is still wrong somplace)
I have no idea where.
Any suggestions?

My goodness friend. You are a bit lost for sure....
Do not try to change or enter anything with the Wiz program now that you have an SVlan or your sure to brick the hub.
Now that you have the Network settings menu, you should now have the areas you need to enter your private server info or to enter your donation number for the AJG server. We do not use serials any more.Don't try to enter one.
Understand this.. when set to DHCP, you allow your router to assign ips and maintain your network for you. When set to static, you set your own ip's and maintain your own network. That's why it kept changing on you.The router is trying to take control... and you should let it.Set to DHCP and leave it there.

Where are you in your setup at this point ??
Your very close now....

Well, I did a couple things not mentioned yet. In the static mode, I input my ip settings, then put it in the DHCP mode, hit the settings button and now my settings remain. I hope this was correcty.

The one thing I do not get is the message that I'm connected. I don't even get that I'm not connected. I'll try again today and look in on this later.
The reason I mention this is that it use to be a requirement that your tv showed you were connected.

I tried it and I'm now connected. I think I'm done with setup.
Things are now coming into place by themselves...

What's next? Getting the Akai server??
If I'm ready for the P$S at Akai, let me know and send me the contact info.

Thats good news.Glad it's working out.
Did you get the "Adapter connected" message when you reboot ?
Do you have pic and sound on 101 ??
With the answer "Yes" to these questions, then your ready for your numbers.
A donation for the AJG server can be bought at Coolsatellite on the web.

Yesterday I requested info for a contact to the Akai server and have heard nothing yet. I don't know how long it usually takes, but it's only an e-mail contact I need.
How long does it take, as today I e-mailed them again as a reminder.

Go to Coolsatellite on the web. That's a good place to get your info from.
Probably less than 3 hours through them.

Good luck,
Sp0iler
