Hi , I got a few problems with my box, first is that I can't get the picture in picture to work , it just like freezes and it don't work , I can dual record but the channels are limited , like I can only see 40 channels when I m rec in one, but the one thing I want to start with is this, when I bring my guide up all the channels look grey, you know when the time is running the current shows or the next programs show blue, and the ones already end show grey, well all mine shows grey, and in my hard drive I can't delete, + the pic in pic problem , I only have like 2 weeks with this unit and got it going yesterday so its brand new, I wonder if this is a problem with the unit not working properly?

The problem is the files loaded to the box.Pic in pic is a very low priority for those writing the support files.
It has never worked well and a frozen image is about all you'll ever get.

Recording is also not a priority for the writers and your pretty much left with "Wysiwyg".

As for the epg problem, try a factory reset in the menu and rescan your sats.See if it helps.

Hi, I just did a factory , but everything stay the same, but it is working
so the only reason I bought this elite was for the functions of the p in p and the dual tuner, so I just wasted my money on that, if it does the same thing than the premiere.

Yes you are correct,,,waste of extra money, when you could of just bought the Premier....

But you never know the Coders mite fix that later down the road!

yes ,I think it still work very good, it works a lil faster and a few other options than the premier, but at the end the main attraction for this unit don't work, I do also hope coders have the time to make it work in the future, but as long as it delivers tv it will be worth to have.

Does any body know if you can watch 2 tvs at the same time? and how to do it?.

There are 2 options, first would be:
You cant split a satellite signal like you can with cable tv. You have to have a receiver in each room you want to watch tv in. If you go this route you have to have a multiswitch.
and second:
You can split the sinal out to the tv.it isnt the same as the inlet from the dish.
all you will need is a standard cable splitter.and another cable to run to the other tv.
use a short (12inch) cable coming out of the STB on the outlet marked.to tv
screw your splitter on there.now you have 2 outlets to go to 2 different tv's.

hI,sorry I did not explain my self, I meant from the elite using the dual tuner, will that function work?

How many TV output ports are on the box ?? 1 or 2 ?? Thats your answer.
Also, just to be clear.... On the lnb side, there is a voltage output and standard coax tv splitters won't work.Don't try it.....
Use coax splitters on the tv side only.

yes , I got video, component and s video,the elite or the premiere does not have coax tv outputs, now how do I watch 2 different channels in 2 different tvs? I'm not trying to watch the same channel in 2 tvs, but I want to know if the dual function may be usable in the elite for 2 different channels in 2 different tvs.

2 different channels on 2 tvs with one receiver won't work, you would be watching the same channel on both tvs unless you hook up another receiver to second tv.
