Default vs ultra channel load

san, to continue, using twin lnb dish, set diseq settings at port 1 and port 2, seems only 110 is being read? I used auto scan, got channels, but not all. updated to todays fix, it works. antenna set up is showing s at 77, q at 80. if i have not hit dn directly, will i not get all channels available. for example. where mickey mouse lives? buddy told me to set diseqc to ports 1 and 2 based on where wires came in from lnbs, set at lnb type standard. any idea why i am not getting all available channels?

Hello thepaperwazoo, you need to make sure that you have ports right, if you have 119 on port one outside then put it on that port during set up and if 110 is on port 2 outside make sure you have it on port 2 as well in set up. Now you tp has to be changed on 119 to 12239 and 110 is on 12224 which is always set by default so you only have to change the 119 bird. I would factory default and then go into set up again and set your ports right and change your tp freg for 119 and set up your lnb settings and then scan your channels again, that should fix the problem. Let us know.

thanks san, I will try this after work. I have the file with the channel listing for 110/119, at what point would I run this? Do I even need to use this if I run the regular auto scan?

thepaperwazoo you do not have to use a channel list, I do not care for them that much, as they sometimes cause more problems than they are worth and you have to go back and factory file the receiver in the end to get it back to the way it was in the beginning. Just load the latest fix, set up birds 110/119 and make sure you set 119 tp freg. to 12239 and 110 should already be set on 12224 which is spot beam. Make sure your ports are right and then scan both birds, you can say no when the scan is finished the first time and rescan again right after that and get a few more channels missed. The higher the S & Q the more channels you get in, Q being very important. About 660 to 670 channels at least with 110 and 119 together. Let us know if you are up and running

san, hitting 110 was easy, but I am having trouble hitting 119, I am rotating slowly, with a spotter watching the S & Q, and I cant hit it. ports are right, turned of lnb to 110 as I try to hit the other, 12239 tp. i hit 110 with lnbs dead horizontal. Am I missing something or will patience pay off?

thepaperwazoo you need to start off with 119 homing it in first, make sure you are using the bird on the left if you are standing behind dish and the bird on the right will be 110 from behind dish. Start with 119 and home it in, make sure that when you get signal that you get it as high as you can, do not have switch outside hooked up during homing in your birds, hook up one long cable from your 119 bird to your receiver and home it in, after you have high S & Q then unhook that cable from 119 and hook it to 110 and it may come right then, if not, you will only have to adjust the dish just a little, 119 is just a little higher than 110. When you have 110 homed in, you can then put your switch in line and hook both up and then go and set up birds on receiver and scan your channels. Let us know.
