I have a vs9000 and I was wondering if there is going to be a fix for the recent freezing?

The current fix should not have to much freezing if you have good signal and quality. The coders are always working on a better fix but most likely they will not relies it until the new ECM.

I am using the dec 14 fix and i find that it freezes approx every 1hr or so for about 1 min. I read it was something to do with the provider trying to find out where the IKS server is? Is that the current fix b/c that's the newest one I see in the files?

Yes, that is the last available fix. That is a rumor that is going around but is hard to tell as lately they have made a lot of changes and is very easy for them to shut us down for few hours. The new files that have been relisted are Full EMU so that the fix can adapt to the changes but is not working 100% at this time. Coders are also spending a lot of time working on a N3 fix so the current files are not the best they can do.

Ps. Many Viewsat users have fixed the freezing problem by resetting the receiver with a factory file but is a little bit of work to do that and it may not fix the freezing. If you can live with it then you are better of to just wait it out and see if the next fix will work better for you.
