new viewsat ultra owner. i'm gett'n better at playing with settings and gett'n more channels (400 ish). legacy twin LNB, coax hooked to 110 (echo 10). having some problems with echo 7, but it will scan in some channels (they're duplicates though)
WHERE IS ESPN , CNN , & WEATHER (TWC)?

espn 140 tp freq 12268 sat 119
cnn 200 tp freq 12486 sat 119
twc 214 tp freq 12297 sat 119

do i do a channel scan, adjusting tp frequency? I'm still getting nothing, but haven't messed with settings too much yet

sat 119 is the hardest sat to get,, thats why when ur getting ur dish lined up I look for 119 first and then 110 should be there also,,you should be getting about 600 or more channels

Do a factory reset and scan your Sat's again. That should get all your channels back. Make sure your ports are set up right and your time zone etc.

I have one cable entering my legacy twin LNB, and hooked to the 110 side. Should I change it to the 119 side? (Changing all set-up configs accordingly) I'm assuming you all are correct that my 119 isn't honed in well. I'm impatient and want to fix it now! (night-time, overcast, with some sprinkles....is that a waste? I'm getting a good s & q now off what I got. Finally, should I leave the cable in the 119 side of LNB?
I really want ESPN tonight!

If you are getting duplicates then you are scanning the 110 two times.

Sounds to me like your dish settings are not setup correctly.

Try this:

It's up to you what sat you want to use, 110 W or 119 W or you can get them both. But to get rid of duplicates you need to go to menu and do a factory reset. And then scan the preferred sat or sat's again.
