big tower.
Hello. I have a big radio,cell,tv tower about 5 mi, away and my dish seems to be pointed right at it. The only bird i get is 110 . Could that be interfearing with the signal. Could i get more chanels by useing that tower in any way. Thanks

I dont think so.If the tower is 5 miles away that should not interfere with your dish.Just because it is pointed at the tower your satellite signal is reflected into your dish from much higher elevation.Tell us what type on dish your using.

The tower is not in the way as the signal is coming from above, the dish is pointed at the sky then that is not the problem.
As for the tower it may be helpful getting a better signal using Indoor and Outdoor High Definition (HD) Antennas Here is some info on that: http://www.ftaprofessionals.tv/showthread.php?t=1544 http://www.ftaprofessionals.tv/showthread.php?t=1545 Ps. We may need to do this while the coders are working on N3.

I think I may know about missing 119 bird
I had that and kept getting dubble scaned channells . The fix was just dumb its the Antenna setup, the TP Freq must be set to 12224 on port 1 for the 110 bird but must be set to 12239 on port 2 for the 119 bird. You can watch the meter that has 0 quality shoot to 80 when you change it from 12224 to 12239. NOW comes the DUMB part once you save the change if you go back to check it it says its set to 12224 but it now works. I got everything then, Scott

Your receiver will always go back to the TP freq default setting after you exit menu but this ok because it will scan all TP freq's anyway when scanning sat.The only time you need to change TP freq on 119 is when your trying to lock in on that bird.
