Question struggle with 119

I've been trying to get echo 7(119) unsuccessfully. I have a legacy twin with the cable attached to the 110 side. On antenna set-up menu echo7 gets a good reading (s=80 & q=97), but the echo 8,10 shows up in the upper right corner. Do I need to attach that SW-41 switch? Do I need to attach cable to the 119 side of LNB? I've written down and tried about every combination of sat set-up configs. I just get some duplicate channels. What I really want is ESPN, CNN, & TWC!

I dont know much about the legacy ,,,but I myself would go and switch ur wire around to the 119 side and see if you can home that sat in as ur standing behind ur dish 119 should be to ur left just a a tad bit,,do you have a sat finder? and when it tells you that you have sat 119 in the corner just as it tells you now that ur picking up 110,,,, 119 is kinda of a bugger to find as the signal is a little weaker,,,you have to switch ur port also 119 should be on port 1 and if you can run another wire from ur 110 side then that should be on port 2,,lets us know if you geter running!!!

peters.chris360, on your dish, are there two lnb's or is it just one? You need to have your 4 x 1 diseqc switch that came with your receiver, do not hook it up at first, run a cable from your lnb to receiver and home in signal first and then if you have 2 lnbs on that dish, once you get 119 homed in, unhook it and hook to 110 lnb and check signal first, alot of times if you get 119 in strong you will have signal on 110 when you hook it up, if not, you should only need to move dish just a little to pick up 110, they are only 9 degree apart in the sky, remember to always cut off switch on back of receiver when hooking and unhooking lnbs. Also, 119 has to be set on tp 12239 and 110 will set on 12224 which is default tp. If looking at dish from front, your 110 will be lnb on left and 119 will be lnb on right, if you have 2 lnbs on that dish. Once you have homed in both birds, then cut off receiver with switch on back and put your diseqc switch in place, have remember your ports you pick for 110 and 119, because you will need those correct ports when you set up your receiver, if you put 110 on port 1, then make sure you put it on port 1 in your set up and so forth. Remember 119 you will have to adjust tp freg. to 12239 to get signal as well. Let us know if you are up and running or have other problems

Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right.Love the ones who do not, just because you can.Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it.Kiss slowly.Forgive quickly.God never said life would be easy.He just promised it would be worth it.

You do not have to be crazy to be my friend, but it sure helps.................

I have had nothing trouble out of the twin legacy lnb's.They have a built in switch so diseqc or sw switch is needed. The dish Pro twin lnb will work with a DP 34 switch and I do know that some fta receivers will work with the legacy twin lnb's without a switch. The coax connectors on the lnb are for connecting more than one receiver. You can try to use it but sure you change lnb type.
