after the last download of software my reciever began to power of and on constantly before it shuts off it has a capital H that shows up. Does anyone know what is happening or what i can do.

The best is to load the factory file as that will reset the receiver the way it was brand new, Then load the new fix file, setup the dish settings and rescan the channels.

i would try that but when it powers on i have no control of the functions before it shuts off. it all happens in a matter of seconds.

Try this.

Download latest fix,power on then turn off auto roll, power off then on front switch,
Turn on auto roll, power off then on again then wait to roll.
(Don't turn back switch off!!)
