Default Viewsat Recivers

I have a ViewSat Receiver, and it has been working fine up until this week. The rec. is about 8 months old and all of a sudden it doesnt power up. The led light by the main power button in back comes on, and you can hear the receiver running, but it will not power up. Is this common and if it is or isn't, is it fixable?

Have you tried to load the factory file?

You can download it from here: http://www.ftaprofessionals.tv/views...ch-2009-a.html

You may not be able to update the file using the USB.

If you can not upload the file with the USB stick you will need to use the loader and the 9 pin null modem cable.

You can download the loader from here: http://www.ftaprofessionals.tv/views...er-v1-1-a.html

Cant even get it to come on period. Whether you push the power button on the receiver or remote, it doesnt come on. The remote ird will flash on the receiver when ever you push the buttons on the remote, but nothing happens

Try unplugging it from the power outlet and let it sit for a few min and plug it back in and see if anything changes. You mentioned it's only 8 months old so it's still under warranty, it could be fried and it that is the case i would send it to Viewsat and get it repaired.
