what is IKS?

IKS uses a key exchange to set up a shared session secret, from which
cryptographic keys are derived. Public key techniques or, alternatively, a
pre-shared key, are used to mutually authenticate the communicating parties.

Q. What does IKS stand for?

Thank u i guess. Im pretty much a dummy about this stuff. Dont have a clue about how to go about using this info. Just barely no how to get online and then to this site. It is nice to no that somebody cares. Thanks again i will continue to study.

I know the feeling ,waiting like everyone else, hope not much longer. i don't know much about computers or my box I can redo a sdcard but that's about it. Need help soon. Someone will get rich when N3 is broken!!!! Fabien

donaldhalley we all learn as we go along more or less. As for IKS(internet key sharing) in short to be watching tv, you would need to get a receiver that runs IKS, has internet port available on it(large phone plug-in on the back of the receiver-called ethernet port) receivers like this are nfusion/sonicview360e,360p or HD,Kbox,ilink and etc, then for sonicview receivers you would need ihub and then dsl internet, a pc or laptop, a router, and you would run the ethernet cable from your router to the ihub on one side and out of the other side of ihub to the receiver. If it were a nfusion you would run ethernet cable from router to back of receiver. Do your set up and watch tv.

Sorry guys but there is no hub for either Viewsat or Pansat so IKS isn't an option for either one of those receivers. You can wait and hope that a fix will be out soon or you will have to upgrade your receivers. There is a possibility of VS and PS coming out with a hub so i would just wait and see what happens.

So for the moment there will not be anykeys for pansat?, we'll have to wait until someone upload a bin?

Because my Satellite is totally down and i have a post on the top of my screen that says that until you restore the viewing access, i can use IKS but i dont find it in the page i own a pansat 3500

please reply me as soon as possible with the key or an answer!!

Victor89 pansat has not come out with what would be needed to go IKS. Even hardware such as a hub/dongle for that brand has not been talked about yet, not sure what they are going to do at this time. We will just have to wait and see. (sorry)

Yes that is correct we will have to wait for Pansat to come out with a dongle/hub so it can be used as IKS receiver or crack N3 and write a new code that works for Nagra 3. There are still some channels that are N2 and are viewable on most receivers including Pansat. Here they are
