I have recently loaded the new file for the viewsat ultra. I unziped to my comp, then to the usb drive , installed, rebooted sat receiver, three times. I get no audio or video message. please advise.

I had the same problem, what wrong??

Update with serial upgrade and then do a hard reboot,new file is working well.

Hi, My laptop does not have a serial port to load the new file. Is there another option? Is there a usb to serial adapter or some other way I can load? Also, is there another file that I can use the usb on my ultra? Thanks

Yes there is serial to usb adapter out there, that is the latest file available for Ultra.

I am having the same problem, the new viewsat ultra file didnot work just getting scramble channel. How to load it

Sometimes it takes more then one try s/w upgrade should work, you might have to reboot after uploading the new file.

Am new to posting but here is my input load new file with u.s.b then go to Menu/Installation/Serial setup/Network s/w upgrade and press ok works fine for me.

Hi, Listen, I am having a hard time finding a usb to serial port to load the new ultra file. My lap top does not have a serial port. I have always loaded the files via usb. I need to know why this file doesnt work with usb. Can a file be made to work via usb? and if not, why?
