Hi All,
I have a Viewsat ultra receiver that I have in storage for about 2 years, what I need to do to revive it and watch. I appreciate your response. Please, could you let me know step by step instructions?
Regards,

Rudolf

you would need to buy a weather forecaster so it can connect to the public server via the internet(public server only)
OR
you need to buy a x-fta router so it connect to a pay server via the internet

Default Viewsat Receiver

Hi,

Thank you all for the reply, it seems to me that there are too many things to do and buy in order to get the old Viewsat going. In you opinion what is the most reliable plug and play receiver that I can buy?

Thank you for the reply.

Rudolf

I would go with either Sonicview Premier or Nanosat, both of those receivers work on public and private servers and are very easy to set up.

Default Sonicview/Nanosat

Can you get the Arabic package with either satellite and what do I need to purchase? Do you know of a place to purchase the equipment?

Thank you,

Rudolf

For Arabic channels your best option would be sat 97W which is a true fta sat and will work with any receiver and only factory file is required to watch it.You can see which channels are available on 97W here - FREE To Air Channels List & True FTA Sat's Chart

You will nee a bigger dish at least 30" or bigger and linear LNB
