Default what other options do we have with the WF

Is there any other servers that we can use with a W F AND VIEWSAT ULTRA besides the server that it connects to out of the box?

Unfortunately VS receivers using WF can only connect to VS public server which has been down for a few days now. That's why it's always a good idea buying receiver that connects to public but has private server option as a back up.

Thanks for your reply. Which recievers can connect to both public and private servers and which do you like the best?

You have many options but if you are looking for inexpensive and solid back up receiver i would recommend Sonicview Premier or Nanosat Premium.

What is the difference between a public and private server? Would i have to pay for private server access?

I am interested in buying the Sonicview 360 premier, but I don't know how I would be able to connect to a private server. We were recently using the Viewsat Ultra Lite connecting to the net but I'm not sure how it was set up, I just know that it was connected to a server and now it's not working. In the past we had many different receivers which would work for a while and eventually stop "working". Your help would be appreciated.

That is the difference public server is free and private you have to pay for, if your Ultra Lite was working before and it went down few days ago you are on public server. It is possible that public server will go back online after the holidays but there is no guarantee, in any case it's always good to have a back up just in case one receiver is down other one might be working and definitely buy a receiver that has private server option such as Sonicview.

So am I looking for back up, if I'm right the sonicview and nanosat they do need a dongle (or newlink) like the wf on viewsat, where they are available or it's already built-in? thanks for the input.

SV does have a dongle it's called Wizhub and Nanosat doesn't require a dongle it has internet port built in.If you decide to buy Nanosat you will also get 1 year private server subscription and it also works on public server so that would probably be your best option as it stands right now.
