Default How to autoscan and avoid multiple channel listings

This is a frequent issue that arises for most testers with little experience in scanning. This can also be used to resolve the multiple listings issue.

Before you start go to the antenna set up menu and write down your settings for the birds you shoot at, lnb type and frequency, and switch type and ports. This is the first thing to do because it is your reference so you can reconfigure your set up.

If you are trying to fix multiple channel listings, you must first factory reset your box before you can begin.

1. Go to the antenna set up menu and reconfigure your set up. then, choose one of your birds for scanning.leave lnb power ON for that bird and shut off all lnb's for your other birds.

2. Go to the autoscan menu and verify that Search option is set to all, Network Search is ON, and that the bird you are intending to scan has a check mark.

3. Press OK to begin auto scan.

4. When autoscan is done, go back to the antenna set up menu and shut off lnb power
for that bird and choose the next one to be scanned.

5. Repeat process for all birds, scanning each one individually until all have been scanned.

6. When all scanning has concluded, go to the antenna set up menu and turn on lnbs' for all your birds.

7. Go to user settings menu and set time, A/R, and epg.

8. Set to eepg channel for A/R to grab. channel 200 for dish, 2212 for bev. You may reboot if you like to give A/R a fresh start.

9. Enjoy your favorite viewing options as usual.

Default How to Get the Right TP's for 91

Go to Menu; Installation; Channel Scan.
Press UP Arrow, to edit Transponders and hit OK.
You should be highlighted on tp 12224
Scroll down one transponder and start hitting the yellow (F3) Key till you delete all but 12224 tp.
Exit to installation, and save settings.
Go into Autoscan, and start scan.
You will pick up 32 transponders, and should get over 400 channels.

If you don't check your Q&S on the tp that you are not getting, you might need a dish tweak.

Knew I had come across this! I di scanning on my receiver b4 darkness hit and I had gotten double channels. I remembered that I had read something about how to fix it somewhere and it only took seconds to find! It was easier to relocate than I thought it would be! LOL Thanks FTA Pro! I'm just getting set up just in case! LOL
