Like the Pansat 3500, the Vortex 3500 also requires a boot file upgrade in order to load new bins.

It is very simple to do and once done, you will be watching TV in no time.

Step 1. Download the latest "Vortex Factory Bin" file

Step 2. Download the latest Vortex 3500 Bin fix

Step 3. Download the latest boot upgrade (b-80):

Step 4. Download the latest Vortex 3500 Loader:

Step 5. Unzip/Extract all 3 files to your desktop and take note to which file is the factory bin and which file is the actual newest bin fix and don't get them mixed up.

Step 6. Hook up your receiver to your computer using your serial cable and plug it in.

Step 7. Open the loader (.exe) and click on the "Instruction" button to help you through the loading process.

Step 8. Load the "Vortex Factory Bin" onto your receiver using the instructions. Make sure "APP File" is selected under file type an choose the file named "Vortex 3500S_060210_120_api(N).bin" and then follow through the loading using the instructions

Step 9. Make sure to wait a few seconds after its done, and check to see if your receiver says "ON" in the front. If so move to the next step.

Step 10. Now your ready to load the Boot file upgrade (b-80). PLEASE NOTE Instructions to loading the b-80 boot file upgrade already comes with it, but just follow these steps since your already reading.

Step 11. On the loader, under FILE TYPE, click on "Boot File Only". Then select the b-80 boot file which is named "boot file b-80.bin" and load that file.

Step 12. Wait till its finished, allow a few seconds to reboot or it may just show B-80 in front it is OK.

Step 13. Now you have successfully upgrade the boot file on your Vortex 3500. But your not finished yet!

Step 14. Now using the same method when loading the Vortex 3500 factory bin, make sure now under "file type" that the option "APP File" is selected, and select the newest vortex 3500 bin file fix.

Step 15. Download the newest fix, make sure to wait after its done loading for your receiver to come on.

Step 16. Now you should be ready to go, hook to your TV and enjoy
