Default How to fix your X-1 receiver if it locks up

How to fix your X-1 receiver if it locks up

If your x-1 gets stuck after an upgrade or scan It is locked up.
You will probably see it perform a boot sequence and then go black and the display will show a 0 E or a 5

you will need to download this package.
The contents of this package include:
X1 loader user friendly serial loader
X1-Fact.abs the original factory file also serves as a system clean
1.13p.abs the updated factory file with the new GUI

place factory 1.13p onto your desktop
connect your receiver to a computer with a Null serial cord
open the loader program check for the following settings
Port=1
Baud=115200
Parity=2

Click connect. If you are successfully connected you will be taken to a new window
Select the “all chunk option”
And find file 1.13 and select to load (wait till it’s done loading).

At this point you have successfully restored your receiver. It will boot properly and the menu is visible.

You can load the current patch from the loader by selecting “main code”
or you can load with a usb." hope this can help some 1 .

Default

If your box is locked, following these instructions will work perfectly and is very easy.

Parity=2 means put it to even.

1 tip I have that was not mentioned above, is to make sure box is off from back switch, click connect, and power on the box. You'll see "CONN" on the box display, and you can continue to follow the instructions above.

If after many tries, the loader will not connect to the box, use a different cable. Not sure if the cable is supposed to be null modem or straight thru but I used one form an old coolsat. One was not provided with the box.

Good luck, this was an easy repair.

PS...once you get your box unlocked, install the latest files before you try to scan your sats again
